Established in 1964, they have occupied their present, natural wooded site off Sligo Creek in Silver Spring, Maryland since 1977.They are a kindergarten licensed by the Maryland Board of Education and a pre-school licensed by the Maryland Child Care Administration. As a Waldorf school and member of the Waldorf Early Childhood Association,they believe that play is the serious work of childhood and learning by doing provides the foundation for critical thinking, problem solving and a lifelong enthusiasm for knowledge.Their morning and full-day programs are designed for children three to six with parent-child classes for two and three year olds.
