In 1901, three organizationsthe Clara Chaison Free Kindergarten and Training School, the Free Kindergarten Association, and the Dallas Free Kindergarten and Industrial Associationjoined forces to provide child care and kindergarten for the children of women who worked in the cotton mills of Dallas. They provide our nationally recognized model of careRelationship-Centered Child Carem or their six Head Start and/or Early Head Start centers for little or no cost to low-income families. They administer a subsidized voucher programChild Care Assistance; offer teacher and parent training; manage a Food and Nutrition Program; and, provide child care Resource and Referral services to parents and employers.
Provides direct early care and education and health screenings to more than 600 infants, toddlers, and preschoolers in our six model child development centers . . .Their strategic focus is expansion of quality child care, especially infant and partially subdized care, for working poor families.ChildCareGroup has pioneered numerous programs aimed at caring for and educating children.
