Mama Bears Day Nursery is a family run childcare organisation based in Bristol. They were established in 2002 with the aim of making high-quality, affordable childcare available to working families throughout the city. They have day nurseries located throughout Bristol, in Brislington, Clifton, Downend, Hengrove, Shirehampton and Soundwell. They re passionate about what they do and work diligently to ensure that this results in safe and happy children in their care. There are many studies that highlight the benefits of care in a day nursery setting but what makes them proudest is that when children leave their Preschool to go on to Reception Class they do so as confident individuals. Their objective is to be a bridge between the home and school by providing the highest standards of care and education for children under five years in the Bristol area.

They aim to provide a friendly, clean, comfortable and safe environment which the children will find stimulating and challenging, where enjoyment and fun are linked with discovery and learning. Staff are sensitive and responsive to the individual needs of each child. Each child should have sufficient clothes for their daily needs plus a spare set in the event of accidents. Parents are asked to ensure that children do not bring valuable items with them, as the Nursery cannot accept responsibility for any subsequent loss or damage. Their activities and our facilities are designed to help young children achieve the outcomes of being healthy, staying safe, enjoying and achieving, making a positive contribution and achieving economic well-being.
