Prospect House
Prospect House are a childrens home - a specialist provider of childrens and young peoples residential childcare in East Yorkshire. Children and young persons who are presenting challenging behavior. Prospect House was formed in 1999 with the intention of offering the best possible care and education for children and young people with complex needs & challenging behavior. The childrens home emphasis is to work in partnership with young people, their families and placing authorities to enable the young person to maximise their potential within a caring stable environment. To achieve the highest possible outcomes, the individual’s childrens childcare programme is carefully designed, managed and reviewed.
The childrens home provides residential childcare for short, medium to long stay placements. This does not preclude emergency admissions, or placements for assessment, if longer-term placements are the intended outcome. Their Aims is To stabilize young people and involve them in a programme of care that clearly demonstrates a professional concern for their well being and safety. The main components of this will inevitably involve Education, Emotional Growth/Development, Health, and appropriate contact with significant family members, whilst keeping in frequent contact with the young person’s social worker.
