Small World Nursery

Small World Nursery was started in August 1996 by King’s Church who owns the Schofield Centre. It is part of an ongoing vision to partner with the Local Authority to meet needs in the Charnwood Community. Their aim is to support families in the important task of raising their pre-school children and “helping little people to develop and grow”. The Nursery provides full day care and flexible sessions to meet family needs. They are registered to care for up to fifty children aged between 0 and 5 years. Each age group have their own room which is fully equipped to both attract and stimulate the children. Small World Nursery has a Christian ethos. Set the pace by providing an educational programme for 3 and 4 year olds, where children are stimulated through play and investigation.

They believe that all children are special and that each child and family is unique. They aim to treat each person with equal concern, giving freedom of choice whilst offering access to and encouraging participation in every opportunity. They respect all families regardless of social and economic background, ethnicity, abilities, sexual orientation or religious belief. They actively oppose discrimination. Children with special or additional needs are welcome and they will do all they can to fully include children with disabilities. Their nursery aims to: Help children feel valued and grow with confidence. Support parents in the important task of bringing up their children. Offer quality, flexible provision for babies, toddlers and pre-school children, with both sessional and full day care.
