Their first nursery was opened in Merrow, Guildford in September 2002. Our aim was to provide a home from home care centred around the strong family values of caring and nurturing. These sentiments are echoed by the company’s shareholders, who are all members of the same family. In the last year their Guildford nursery has grown into a place that they are all very proud of and they are looking forward to the future with great excitement. They became the proud caretakers of Starfish, Farnham in November 2003 and along with Farnham 6th Form College, where the nursery is based, they hope to provide the same level of service that our parents and children at Guildford receive.

At Starfish Nurseries, they encourage caring and respectful attitudes towards others, whether staff or children. Great care has been taken in the design of their Nurseries, to see from a child’s viewpoint; from key coloured handprints guiding them around the nursery, to the array of facilities all at a child’s eye level to stimulate their imaginations from day one. They put great emphasis on learning through play by utilising their indoor and outdoor facilities. Starfish children, from 3 months, through toddling times to pre-school, will find their nurseries a stimulating and reassuring environment, assuring their transition from home to nursery is a smooth journey. At Starfish, they believe behind every happy child is a happy parent. The babies have the benefit of a stimulating room with varied, age-appropriate play equipment. These include: Soft play toys, shape sorters, beanbags, heuristic and sensory play to encourage coordination and social skills.
