Timonium Nursery School

January 23rd, 2010 Posted in 123 Triad

The Nursery Schools primary goal is to make each child feel special. They build their students self-esteem by encouraging them to feel good about all of their accomplishments. There are opportunities for individual and group experiences. To fulfill the childs needs, they provide a wide variety of activities such as art, music, science, cooking, role-playing and outdoor play. Through meaningful play experiences, their preschool children develop concepts and skills basic to the more difficult tasks of learning in later years. As a church Nursery School, there will be some religious instruction such as prayer at snack time and crafts centered on Christian holidays.

All religious traditions are welcome and respected. They accept children of any faith, race, color or national origin. They endeavor to create a warm and accepting atmosphere where children are free to learn, create, and grow. Play for the young child is their work, education and fun. They provide a learning environment and expose children to basic academic concepts such as the alphabet, numbers, shapes, and color recognition. Social skills develop as children learn to play together. Music, fingerplays and storytelling are apart of their daily program. Each child is a unique individual, and we strive to make each day fun! Since then, the school has continued to expand to include four classes of four-year-olds, four classes of three-year-olds, and six classes of two-year-olds.
