Cradle Club

October 4th, 2009 | Comments Off | Posted in 123 Triad

The Cradle Club provides quality child care for infants, toddlers, and preschoolers. We are known for our excellent kindergarten prep program. They offer two convenient locations: Downtown Minneapolis in Butler Square, and in Edina just off of 494 and Highway 100. Their founder Jan (Erickson) Ashbaugh felt called to a future caring for children while she herself was still a child. She followed her heart and pursued an education in early-childhood development. Jan received extensive training both in the classroom and on the job as she worked in the field for six years. Eventually she realized the only way she could do for children what she thought was best was to start her own company and set the standards herself. The Cradle Club, Inc. is a privately owned child care corporation designed with excellence in mind. We believe that every child needs to feel loved and wanted.

They need to know that the people near them truly care about them as unique and special children. Every child needs the security of a safe environment. Each child must trust that parents and other protective adults will be there in times of need. Children need to believe they are always accepted for themselves, not only when their behavior meets certain standards. Every child needs to be challenged to grow and develop individually. Children also have the right to know that there are limits, and that they will be held to those limits by those with responsibility. Every child needs to have friendly guidance to learn to deal effectively with others. Children need to be encouraged to try new things, to grow, and to find confidence in themselves and their ability to do things with growing independence.

Great Beginnings Childcare & Learning Center

October 4th, 2009 | Comments Off | Posted in 123 Triad

Their goal is to provide an environment that best promotes all aspects of growth–social, emotional, physical and intellectual. Their program is based on the awareness that most children follow the same broad developmental pattern of growth, but that there is also a wide range of individual differences. Therefore, they rejoice in the individuality of each child and base their guidance on a child’s personal needs and stage of development, rather than having one set standard of expectations for all children. Their program uses the High Scope Philosophy along with a Creative Curriculum. High Scope is a positive thinking program that teaches children the social skills they need to feel good about themselves and make positive choices.

Teachers establish a safe and nurturing classroom environment where children can be happy and busy pursuing their interests. Adults observe and interact with children at their level to discover how each child thinks and reasons. They support children’s initiatives and developing abilities. Adults share control of all learning experiences with children. They encourage children to solve problems with materials, turn to one another for help, collaborate in creative activities, and learn how to resolve conflicts with one another through negotiation. To learn through active involvement with people, materials, events, and ideas. To become independent, responsible, and confident - ready for school and ready for life. To learn to plan many of their own activities, carry them out, and talk with other children and their teacher about what they have done and what they have learned.

Aaron Canada Nanny Agency

October 3rd, 2009 | Comments Off | Posted in 123 Triad

The nanny provides childcare during hours that are pre-arranged with the parents of the children. This is the norm for most nannies. The nanny supports the physical, emotional, creative and general development of children in their care. Only experienced and well- trained nannies can do this effectively. The nanny is the ultimate protector of children, keeping them safe from harm and ensuring a nurturing environment. Qualified nannies will excel in their role. The nanny prepares appetizing and nutritionally-balanced meals and snacks. The family will instruct nannies on their preferences of menu fare. The nanny maintains good communication with the parents, informing them of each child’s development and needs.

Nannies will work in sync with the parents as ” second parents”. The nanny ensures the cleanliness and neatness of the house as affected by the children. This is the standard for all nannies. A nanny is defined as a child’s nurse. The tradional nanny was a servant in a large household and reported directly to the “Lady of the House”. Nannies were always female and this remained the case through most of the 20th Century. Today a few men do hold the role, although normally under a more generic title such as “chlid-minder”, or occasionally “manny”. The role of the nanny currently stands firmly as a segment of early childhood education. In the 19th and early 20th Centuries, the nanny in a “Great House” ran her own domain, supported by at least one nursery maid. Because of their major role in childcare, nannies were indulged more so than the junior servants.

Kid-E-Place in Orlando (College Park) is one of the oldest and highest rated preschools in the State of Florida. It was established as an “Open Air School” in 1939.They call themselves Kid-E-Place because they found that once a parent brings a child for a visit, the child doesn’t want to leave. They tell their parents about the fun and challenging days they have learning new things and experiencing new friends. The most satisfying experience to parents and children alike is
our creative, caring and educated staff. Every child is special to us. With many years of experience, they strive to build and care for the “total child”…physically, emotionally and mentally. They encourage and challenge children to grow in all aspects of their personalities. We are teaching them to make the right choices in life.

Their mission is to provide a quality educational experience in a warm and nurturing environment. The security of your child is of their utmost concern. They offer a secure environment for your children with personalized schedules, loving and caring staff, and classical music. They accept up to eight infants with two caregivers. Their infant room is very spacious, clean and inviting. There are lots of windows and each baby can see outside from his/her crib. They have a large crawling and playing area in which your infant can explore his/her world. They believe that children should be in their cribs to rest, otherwise they are being held, played with and nurtured by their staff. Their teachers go to great lengths to make certain you are informed daily about the quality of care your infant receives.
