Middle Creek Montessori

Middle Creek Montessori is a nonprofit organization, licensed by the State of Montana, that offers a unique educational opportunity for children ages 2-11. The school is based on the Montessori philosophy that cultivates a life-long love of learning. This emphasis on the individual’s love of learning yields children that are happy, confident and fullfilled and these traits provide a solid foundation for individuals that are well-rounded and self-directed later in life. Each child is respected for their unique qualities and learning style. They are dedicated to the development of each child’s full potential and have created a spacious, sunlit indoor/outdoor learning environment specifically to meet the children’s needs and to facilitate and stimulate their growth.

Their mission at Middle Creek Montessori is to nurture each child’s innate drive to explore, discover, and achieve. Maria Montessori often spoke of the importance of “the prepared environment.” At Middle Creek Montessori they have taken that to heart. They believe that the creation of a learning space for the developing child includes everything from architectural elements and pure, environmentally-friendly building materials to the warm smiles of their loving teachers. They believe architecture is a vital foundation for learning because children are known to absorb every nuance of their environment. Fine architecture can be viewed as beautiful expressions of the spirit.

KINDERWORLD

They aim to give your child the opportunity to develop and learn through free play and structured learning activities. Experience in a wide variety of play and learning activities helps to develop the use of language and expression; the understanding of concepts; imagination and creativity; social awareness, including multicultural awareness; co operation and self control. Children need to make sense of the world through curiosity and discovery, involvement, and guided activities set at the right level for their age and capabilities. Their social and emotional needs must be met also and this is considered to be of paramount importance in small children. A happy, loving atmosphere with plenty of cuddles allows a child to develop his/her true potential.

Each child is treated as an individual because staff are given responsibility for small groups. Children like to feel that they have one or perhaps two “special” key-people who know them and understand them and can comfort them when they need it. To achieve their high standards of child care, it is their general policy to appoint only professional Staff – qualified as Nursery Nurses, or training towards a qualification. At Kinderworld they put children at the centre of the daily activities and routines, understanding how the security of daily routines helps children feel safe and secure which enables them to grow, learn and develop with confidence. They respect each child’s culture and help them learn about the importance of relationships, and how to respect themselves and others so that they develop a positive self-image.
